The Spring/modern Range of  Mazda MK1 MX5 Boot Rack

The Spring model comes in two finishes Stainless Steel and Matt Black.

The racks are 108x42cm in size The Spring boot rack has four feet that can swivel and simply clamp onto the edge of your boot-lid. The fixing points the feet attach too simply slide along the rails and like the fit are held in place with a bolt. The boot racks feet are powder coated to reduce the risk of any damage to your MX5's boot lid. They can carry 25kg.

Classic MX5 MK1 Boot Rack

 

We stock two designs of classic rack both fir the MK1 MX5 and give it that 1960's retro look. These racks are UK made. They measure 90x42cm and are attached using a basic clam one either side of the boot, they also feature an M6 thread in the base of each leg so can be permanently attached.  They are manufactured from 19mm 3/4" aluminium tube thats polished and then anodised for a deep shine.

There are two sizes in the boot-bag range :

boot-bag original - £124.95 / 144.95€  - 50 Litres of additional luggage capacity measures 70x36x20cm ( 28"x15"x8") giving 50 litres (1.75 cubic feet) of additional storage. The soft non slip mat the bag sits on is slightly bigger measuring 80x40cm.

About the boot-bag & how it works

Stage 1 Open the boot and layout the straps in an H shape

Stage 2. Shut the boot and place the anti slip matting in the middle

Stage 3. Place the bag on the mat attach the straps to the bag pull tight, they simply loop around the boot lid.

All boot-bags are hand made by us in Buckinghamshire with care & pride.

Boot-bag sits on soft anti slip matting this protects your cars paintwork the mat is 4mm thick, its 'squashy' and is 'anti slip' so it stays in place.

The boot-bag has two fixing points that are welded to the top the bag, an H shape harness attaches to these, and the straps are attached to this. This means the bag is TOTALLY waterproof and stays in place when attached to the boot-lid.

Boot-bag has a large flap held in place with Velcro that sits over the zip to ensure no water gets through the tiny holes in the zip. The zip has two buckles and can be padlocked for security.

The straps attach to the boot-bag using ladder lock fittings, these are found on rucksacks, bags etc. The harder the straps are pulled the tighter the joint becomes, as long as the straps are tight, the boot-bag is not going to move. The straps can each hold 500kg.
